December - Week 3:
"Meaningless"

Corps cadets will learn about the ups and downs of Solomon’s life and about his search for meaning, which can only fully be found in God. They will explore how his father, David, passed down wise advice to him and served as an example for his future choices. Reading Scripture, they will see why God granted Solomon wisdom as well as added blessings. Furthermore, they will read about other benefits of wisdom for those in leadership. As application, they will discuss why it is important for leaders to possess wisdom, considering the ramifications if they do not. They will think about someone they consider wise, discussing what makes that person wise and other positive qualities they have as a leader. Finally, they will contemplate how they can grow personally in godly wisdom.
