In this lesson, corps cadets will discover that persevering, both in difficulty and in everyday life, is a sign of mature Christian character. They will watch a video about an Olympic runner who got injured but pressed on to finish the race with the help of his father. They will read Scripture about persevering, consider the ninth doctrine, and explore the life of Daniel. They will also learn about Lt.-Colonels Brian and Dorothy Knightley, O. F. (Order of the Founder) who served in Liberia and Major Lois Dueck who served in Ukraine.
